Design Teams

Scrapdango March 2012 - August 2012
This is a kit club with 2 different kits each month. I am a designer for the Spice kit.  My duties include completing projects with the monthly kit as well as monitoring the boards as well as the blog and keeping a presence on Facebook. Each month I must create 4 original layouts as well as other paper crafting projects - usually cards. In addition  I must work with the other members of the team to create challenges and online crops.

Chef of the month September 2010
The Chef of the month was similar to a guest design team position. For that month, I completed assignments and posted challenges on the site.

Eye-Lets Etc. April 2010 - June 2010
As a member of this design team I had to meet weekly production goals which were usually a combination of cards, tags and scrapbooking pages. This was done using the supplies provided (and only rarely other supplies). The work is posted on the company blog and on facebook.

Cooking Up Creations June 2009 - January 2010
As a member of the Design Team here I must create a minimum of 4 layouts one other project using the sponsor's supplies. In addition I am responsible for choosing a Lay Out of the Week and posting a challenge to the challenge forum when my week is up. I also have to aid in choosing the "Chef of the Month". There are also some other duties that are somewhat sporadic but in which I participate such as cybercrops and live chat with some of our sponsors.

Jean's Art Dolls November 2008 - June 2009
While there I created not only scrapbooking layouts but also created a varied array of art including tags, altering and other projects. I also created a tutorial giving instructions on making a gift box. I am active involved on both the gallery and the forum at that site.

Paper and Pigtails May 2008 - October 2008
While there I created layouts for inspiration, took turns posting the Question of the Day, was an active member of the forum and completed my assignments. It was my first chance to serve on a team and I truly enjoyed it. However, due to circumstances beyond my control, the site was closed so I am no longer serving there although I still retain the valuable lessons I learned while there.

Cards and Crafts

These are some ATC I made for my children and a family friend. On the front I tried to use colors and designs to fit their tastes and personality. I chose a Bible verse relevant to each of them and put it on the back.

These are a sample of some of the cards that I have made. Most but not all of them were made for a card challenge at Cookin' up Creations.
This a notebook I made for my daughter using scout themed pages.

This is an altered lunch box that I made to hold my stickles. I made this just because I wanted it not for any team or challenge.

This is a bift box that I use at the holidays. It was created for Jeans Art Dolls when I was serving on the Design Team there.

This is a mini album created for"Back to School" cybercrop at Simply Obsessed. This is my first attempt at a mini album and I believe it does a pretty good job showing my scrapping style as well as who I am and what I believe.

Inspiration

This card was created for the March 2010 Card Maps on Page maps

This was a card made for September 2008 Pagemaps

Contests

This was the winning layout for a sketch contest in April '10 at Cookin' Up Creations

This is a winning layout I created for a contest sponsored by ColorCutters.

About Me

My photo
I am not easy to classify. Do you have that one sock (and somehow it is always just one) that never seems to match? If you put it next a black sock, it looks blue. If you put it next to a blue sock it looks black. I am that sock. There are friends of mine out there who at least look "normal". I am definitely not one of them. I look pretty strange indeed when compared with business types with their cars, televisions and credit cards (none of which I have). On the other hand there are my theatrical type of friends. They are performers, corset salesmen and sword makers. I love all of them dearly, but when compared to them, I look painfully "normal" myself, At this point, I have given up trying to fit in. I am just going to continue my life looking strange to some and normal to others and most important continue to march to the beat of my own bagpipe.
